Cyber Security Instructor

Overview
Join DMVTEK as a Cyber Security Instructor specializing as a SOC Analyst. In this role, you’ll educate and mentor aspiring cybersecurity professionals through hands-on, real-world training. You’ll design and deliver courses focused on Security Operations Center (SOC) functions, incident response, threat analysis, and continuous monitoring, ensuring that your students gain the practical skills needed to excel in today’s dynamic threat landscape.


Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development:
    Create and update course materials and lab exercises that simulate real SOC scenarios, incorporating the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence.

  • Instruction & Training:
    Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions covering topics such as SIEM, incident response, threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and digital forensics.

  • Student Evaluation & Mentorship:
    Assess student performance through practical labs and exams, providing constructive feedback and career guidance.

  • Industry Engagement:
    Stay current with industry best practices and certifications, and incorporate real-life case studies into your teaching to bridge theory and practice.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven hands-on experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a similar cybersecurity role.

  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent are highly preferred.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.


Desired Skills

  • Expertise in using security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and threat intelligence platforms.

  • Experience in instructional design or previous teaching/training roles.

  • Ability to tailor content for varying levels of technical proficiency.
