Network Engineer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design & Implementation:
  Architect, configure, and optimize network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems, to support business operations.
• Performance Monitoring:
  Continuously monitor network performance, proactively identify issues, and implement solutions to maintain high uptime and service quality.
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement network security measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
  Provide rapid technical support and troubleshoot complex network issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
• Documentation & Maintenance:
  Maintain clear documentation of network configurations, topologies, and standard operating procedures to facilitate efficient management and future scalability.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar network administration role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and technologies (VLAN, VPN, QoS).
• Experience with network security practices and tools, along with effective troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and teamwork abilities.

Desired Skills

• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly preferred.
• Experience with cloud networking in environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and scripting languages (such as Python) for automation.
• Knowledge of advanced routing strategies, SD-WAN, and network segmentation.
